Caroline loved all of the commotion and didn't even flinch as the horns and sirens were going off on the fire trucks and police cars! When Jason was first stationed here at this base years ago, before we took our tour to Germany, and before I even knew him, he lived in the dorms. Gasp.... a 'dorm rat'! It is truly a small world~ the girl in the green shirt was a neighbor of his! She has since gotten out of the AF and married a police officer. He is the gentleman standing by us watching our street intersection. We had a lot of fun talking with Sarah and her kiddos. What a fun family!
Jeni~ Remember when I'd come stateside for visits from Germany and would come back with treasures for us? This store behind Jason is one that I got goodies from. I {heart} this store so much and wish I could buy all of his stock!!! Oh my~ the fall is out as well now. Girl, I'm in overload and want to buy, buy, buy! How about you?!? Are you ready to shop fall 'till ya drop? ;)
Gotta love a hometown band! This band happens to be AWESOME and gets invites to bowl games, big city parades, etc... Our neighbor drives the big rig for their stuff from place to place and has let Bryce tool around the neighborhood a time or two and honk the horn. What fun!
Oh yes...some nice lady gave our Princess a clapper as she walked by with her group in the parade. She LOVES this thing. Mommy needs to invest in Tylenol when Caroline is on a roll, but that's o.k. We did learn our lesson and this will NOT be a toy that we add to the toy basket in our car! Now, when she insists that it goes in her crib and I forget to take it out and that is what I hear bright and early in the morning....Now that is a problem!
She rounded that corner and was OFF and away to the neighbors! (She loves their dogs and likes to go say 'Hi' to them through their fence since they're big. They are labradoodles and oh so cute!)
All done saying 'Hi' and walking back our way. All the while clapping the clapper, as you can see!
...Still going...
When we cleared out for the yard sale the other weekend this 'Rock Roll N Ride' of Bryce's from way back in the day was something we came across. Of course, it is a perfect thing to hold on to for Caroline, but for some reason Bryce has regressed it seems in this photo! He was having fun chasing his sister~ Ah, the tormenting has already begun! She got back at him today though when neither Jason nor I realized what she was doing. She was, after all, being mighty quiet. Turns out it was because she had OPENED BRYCE'S BEDROOM DOOR and was sitting in the middle of his train track set up and was 'playing'. Oh boy! We have promised Bryce a trip to Babies R Us to buy a door knob safety lock!!! xo

Oh, I love parades!! So all-American, and I just "have to" eat the candy that my daughter can't eat! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, it was nice to meet you!

I just love a parade! In that last picture Caroline looks like she was the lead of one. I'd give anything to go to that store!!! You always found the best treasures in there that's for sure.
Leslie,
I love the last picture of Bryce going after Miss Priss. Too funny.
Love ya
