So, this little silver tree and the decs on it are my FAVORITE patriotic thing! When we lived in Germany it was hard to come by seasonal decorations, except for the things at the local BX/PXs, which were not that cool. Whenever I'd make a trip back to the 'Land of Shopping Galore', I'd always try to come back with something neat for myself and my girlfriend Jeni, over at 'At Home In Georgia'. Jeni and I LOVE to decorate in the same style and we always had SO MUCH fun finding new goodies! Well, Jeni surprised me one year with the BEST EVER patriotic ornies. They're the ones on the silver tree above! They're little firecrackers, red white and blue top hats and balls...really Neat-O stuff!
Just a few things on a table in the kids 'gameroom'. Can't put too much on it right now because Miss Priss can, and will if I'm not in the room, reach up just to check something out! Hmm, fall decs should be interesting since there are a LOT more of them to put out!!!
Some trees and decs on the dining room table. The cake stand is a fav of mine. My Mom flew over to hang out with B and I for a bit between her chemo treatments while Jason was working crazy 7 day a week , 16+ hour days, during the start up of OIF. She was with us for about 1 1/2 weeks and he was able to get a day off to hang out at home so she and I could take a quick trip to Czech~ where I found (among many other neat things!), this cake stand for the equivalent of about $14. I think that was a pretty good deal! Now, the funny part of the trip was when she and I got home at about 3am and didn't realize the front door to the apartment was left unlocked by Jason for us, and I was ringing the doorbell, knocking on the door...trying to get my hubby to get up and let us in with all of our loot! We were delirious from being awake for 2 days to get there, shop, and back and had just shopped ourselves plain silly I think!
And a few more on my jelly cabinet...
Now...THIS is why I can't decorate or get ANYTHING done when Caroline aka 'Wild Thing' is AWAKE! This is what she did in my craft room when I left her for literally seconds yesterday. She is a hoot and I wouldn't want to spend time away from her though, so I can live with not doing anything other than being a Mommy during her awake time! Being a Mommy is the most FUN thing EVER, isn't it?!? XO

You have some awesome 4th of July decorations! I love those boxes by the red tree! SO cute! I can't wait to see your fall decorations and can't wait to put mine out either!
I am kicking myself so hard right now!! I was at TJ Maxx this afternoon and they had an amazing square cake stand for $19.99... but wait...take 30% off that price and it was a steal. But I couldn't think what I would do with it. UNTIL NOW!!! I love your cake stand idea!!! I'm going to go and cry now!
Love all the patriotic. Wow you still have those ornies...ever since moving here I can't find mine. Your decorations look beautiful.

Great festive decor...for the 4th or Labor Day!
You know I am already pulling out my fall stuff. I keep making trips to the basement....it is amazing how you can forget what you have when it is stored away in a box!

Hi Leslie!
While visiting with my mom today I told her about your crib find and that chair I asked you about. She said that the chair was brought back from Mexico from my Grandmother on one of her trips. She gave it to my older sister. I told her that your chair looks IDENATICAL to my sister's. Then I shared with her about your crib find and how it looks exactly like my crib as a baby. Amazingly she still has it in her garage (after 30 years)!
Anyway.. just wanted to share. Hope you and your family have a great weekend!
