It's a Fall Cooking Fest!

Hop on over to Jenni's blog at 'Nest To Keep' and check out the Fall Cooking Fest she is hosting for the next week! The idea is to post an entry on your blog showcasing a favorite fall recipe and then linking on Jenni's post for folks to visit yours! Oh boy am I excited to see all the yummy things that folks come up with. I'm in DIRE NEED of some new recipes to try out!

Mine is a really simple recipe that my Mom made us for brunch or "breakfast for dinner nights" for as long as I can remember! The first time she made it for Jason he kind of hem hawed around it and didn't want to bust out of his shell and try it. My Dad even pestered him and told him it was for 'girly luncheons', further making him NOT want to try it! MEN!!! The girls eventually won and he delved in and has never turned back. He's been converted. He LOVES it!

Quiche Lorraine

1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
1 cup whipping cream
3 eggs
1/2 tsp salt
dash of pepper
1 frozen uncooked pie shell
(10 slices of bacon, cooked and crumbled can be added, too, along with many other things~ broccoli, ham, spinach, sausage...)

Sprinkle cheese in pie shell.
Mix all other ingredients and pour over cheese.
Bake at 350 for 35-45 mins.

* And, the note on the back of the recipe card my Mom gave me? She wrote, "Even real men like this quiche!" Too funny!!! Hope you like it, too!

HAPPY FALL Y'ALL! XO

Mister Linky has disappeared off my blog post; I tried to fix it, but I think their server is down. I will keep checking until I can get onto their site to fix this problem! Will let you know when it's resolved! :)

Hey girlie! You are one of my favorite bloggers, did you know that? You always have the sweetest comments for me. I hope I can return the favor! As for the pumpkin dip recipe, I will post it today for sure! I just hope whoever I stole it from will speak up, so I don't have to feel bad. I guess it's yummy either way, right! :)
