I was beat by a 3rd grader!

The previous post about my fun but smutty read??? Well, Bryce has put me to SHAME folks! His school librarian knows how much he LOVES to read and get AR points. So, she recommended this big, thick, long 16 point book for him to read. My boy is reading longer books than me! Probably a higher reading level, too, if the truth be told! And, it was so good he fell asleep reading it last night! ;)

He has enjoyed some good books this year that I loved at his age~ The Wind In The Willows, Mrs. Frisby & The Rats of NIMH, and a few other award winners. If you think of any really ROCKIN' books, leave me a comment so I can hook my little book worm up!

P.S. I know I am MEGA behind at visiting my friend's blogs! I will come by your neck of Blogspot... I really will... I haven't forgotten about you! Life has just gotten in the way a tad recently. Forgive me please....

Well I have to admit that I just adore the Harry Potter series, but some people aren't so into that so I never know!! Girl that is awesome that you have such a reader on your hands! I hope my kids turn out like that too! :)

Way to go Bryce! Funny we do AR books here in Texas. My fourth grader girl doesn't read that big of books. Way to go Bryce!

Hi Leslie~
I thought that looked like Harry Potter on Bryce's pillow! Our son read the series last year, and was chomping on the bit for my husband to catch up! (One of them has a little more free time than the other!) I think that is awesome that your son loves to read! You had me cracking up between this post and the previous one! You are so funny! :)

I hope my kids love to read. When I was his age I think I read all of the Boxcar Children books. And some Nancy Drew....I think the boy versions were the Hardy Boys.

It's so good that he's a reader - mine hasn't quite caught on to how much fun it can be. He'd rather be running around catching balls with friends instead of visiting foreign lands filled with adventure.....maybe one day he'll take after his mom.

I think it is FABULOUS that your son LOVES to read!!! Lexi HATES it and I mean hates it....she has enjoyed the books that we read but I think her problem is sitting still and getting through them. You know you can't be doing cheers, or back flips, or making up routines, or singing........

I did let her get a R.L. Stine (YIKES) book. They are pretty scary and we talked all about that it is a "MADE-UP" story. Anyway, she has really only been reading the 1 point books because we can knock them out and they are in her reading level of like 3.6 - 5.4. Well, I was so proud of her she made a 90 on the AR test and got 4.5 points. The highest point book she has ever had...so, she got another one of his......

I LOVE to read and just can't believe my daughter doesn't :(
