Grass time!

Bryce found a little bunny pal (we named him 'Peter' for obvious reasons!) in our backyard the other day. He went outside to round up and put away his balls and toys and was taking ages to come back in. Imagine my surprise when I went to the breakfast room door to peek out and see what he was up to... and saw this! We always get bunnies in our yard but I would have never dreamed they'd be comfortable enough for him to get this close! He loves animals so this was a special treat for him.

After clicking away on the camera the bunny started inching away. He never ran away, just hopped about. Bryce was not a happy camper that I was making camera noise and that C was banging on the door wanting outside~ So, he let me know of his frustration in such a polite way!!!

Caroline's first real time hanging out in the grass. Miss Priss has earned her nickname, that's for sure! She did not like the grass one bit and would much rather be held or in her stroller! I wish you could hear the fuss she was making as she attempted to crawl over to me. Stinker!

She stopped on her way to inspect a blade of grass. That occupied her for a bit and took her mind off of her dislike of the grass!

Finished playing with the blade of grass, not wanting to crawl on it anymore, and now just fussing to fuss and truly being a little D-I-V-A! That's my girl ;)

Baby gate fun!

Caroline peeking through the top of the stairs baby gate.

Peek A Boo Ms 'Pretty Big Blue Beautiful Eyes'!

So excited when she saw that Bryce was home from school to play with her (these pictures are from mid May!)

Reaching through to 'honk, honk, honk' her brother's nose!

Awww, our two happy funny faces!

A visit to the StL Arch

We took the Youngman's to the St Louis Arch on their wedding weekend trip. You can't come to St Louis and not make the trek to the top of the Gateway Arch after all! In this pic Mrs. Youngman, Caroline, Bryce, Caroline Jr (with Jason behind to catch her if need be!) take a peek below...

Caroline and Bryce checking out the skyline.

The view of the new Busch Stadium from the top of the Arch. It's amazing! GO CARDS!!!

Last entry of the wedding...

Blogger would only let me add a few photos to each journal entry so I had to make several entries to capture the day! Here are a few more...

Before the meal at our table...

PaPa, Suzy and Delbert~ having a good 'ole time!

Miss Priss is having a good time, too! She was just a clapping away!

We changed C out of her party dress into some comfy clothes at the reception. Her big brother gave her a ride to the dance floor where he 'danced' with her. It was so sweet!

Jason got Caroline to giggle like there was no tomorrow. I think she was slap happy at this point because dinner was after her normal bath/bedtime routine. She was an awesome trooper and did so well for us!

More of the wedding...

Mrs. Youngman and her daughter Caroline (where I first heard the name Caroline and loved it from the start!) came over from Norwich, England for the wedding. We first met the Youngman's when my family moved to England in 1981. I went to school with Mrs. Youngman's son, Ben. I have lots and lots of fun memories of times spent playing with Ben and Caroline, Thanksgivings together at our house, and having the BEST Christmas cake ever at their house (made by Mrs. Youngman, a wonderful cook!) on Boxing Day. It was so wonderful to see you two. It didn't even feel like almost 15 years had gone by! We picked right back up! Can't wait to see you again~ our door is always open ladies! :)

The Himmelberg's came to the wedding, too! Suzy is Mom's best friend from childhood and is a dear lady. Her hubby, Delbert entertained Jason with stories at the reception. Suzy, one day I'll have to tell you the funny stories Mom told me about the things you girls got up to when she lived with your family. I'm sure you have plenty more to add to hers! ;) It was so great to see you guys, too! Lets for sure plan a weekend to get my Bryce and Caroline and your Bryce and Austin together. What fun they would all have! Hugs and high fives to all your adorable grandbabies and kids, too!

Allison and Bryce 'cutting a rug'!

My sister-in-law!
My brother's friend from high school was in the wedding. He let Bryce sit in his car. Oh boy that made Bryce's day. Can you say, "all boy"?!?

Stephen is M-A-R-R-I-E-D!

EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT~ My brother married Allison on Memorial Day weekend in St Louis!!! Bryce was their ring bearer.

Jason helped him get all fixed up and handsome behind the scenes at the Sheldon. Awww, he was so grown up looking and decked out. Our little man is getting to be a big boy.

Bryce helped to entertain Caroline before it was 'show time' for him. The flower girl was playing with them, too! She is the daughter of a friend of Allison's and a cutie patootie as well!

The boys are awaiting Allison's arrival! Look at Bryce holding the ring box... Cute!

My little man does his thing and presents the ring to the preacher...

The happy couple after they said 'I DO'! We're so glad to have you as a part of this crazy family now Allison! It's great to have you as a little sis! Congrats to you two lovebirds!!! xo

He's 8 Now Folks!

Bryce was SUPER EXCITED when he came downstairs the morning of his birthday a few weeks ago! (Yes, it was a few weeks ago but we couldn't figure out the new computer system so it was Jeff to the rescue again~ Thanks Jeff... we owe you big time... again!)

Yea..... I'm 8!

Sharing some birthday lovin' with his #1 fan!

We decorated Bryce's room while he slept the night before. He woke up to balloons everywhere, streamers, signs, presents all over the place. He thought that was super cool! (thanks for the awesome idea, Marcy! You were right, it was a huge hit!) I'm not sure if you can tell in the photo above, but Miss Priss LOVED playing with the balloons. She was cracking up!

This year on Bryce's actual birthday we let him play hooky from school and we all went to Six Flags with the season passes we got (also for his bday). The weather totally cooperated and it was simply gorgeous out. Bryce got on a ton of rides as there were no lines with school still being in session. Miss Priss also loved our outing. She even screamed with anger when we had to take her OFF of the little kiddo rides. It was a riot to see!

When we got home Bryce had another awesome surprise. Ms. Marcy and his good buddies, Tierney and Blake, had decorated the front porch, left some neat-o presents for Mr. Man and had even put balloons on the basketball hoop in the driveway. Thanks guys! YOU ROCK! xo
