Happy 31st...BOO!

Our church had a 'Trunk or Treat' last weekend. Bryce helped pass out candy rather than collect since he'll be trick or treating tonight with his "bestest" buddy, Tierney and her brother Blake! As you can see from the photos, Caroline did NOT want to walk about AT ALL and rather, opted to hang out in our undecorated trunk stealing candy from our basket! This was our 1st year going so we scoped it all out~ hence the non decked-out car! Watch out next year though~ Jason is already planning!



I cheated for dinner tonight and we bought a 'Pumpkin Pizza' from a local yummy pizza joint. Bryce was not thrilled when we discovered that Miss Priss LOVES pizza just as much as he does! Why you might be asking? Well, that's less pizza for him now, you see! It did make for one big mess...hence why she made a "pants-less" crawl up the stairs for bath time directly after dinner!



Miss Priss rockin' out one of her Halloween outfits! Mandy and Jenn from 'Like Sisters Boutique' on Ebay made her overalls for me. They did a great job and I love them! Thanks girls!
Happy Halloween everyone! I'm going to turn into a pumpkin soon as it's after 1am. I think I should go hit the sack! Ciao...

Loving this stage in the game of life!

This past weekend Jason had the kiddos outside before he left on his TDY and I was inside doing a few quick chores. When I walked by the front door I saw this above and it melted my heart. I know the day will come when it's not always this sweet and rosy between the two of them. But until that day comes... I am savoring every moment of the present sweetness between the two of my babies!

I love my hubby!

Breast Cancer is near and dear to my heart... At the beginning of October (breast cancer awareness month) Jason brought me to tears one morning. Bryce goes to a private school and I take/pick him up daily. Miss Priss and I were pulling into the driveway from taking Bryce one morning and I saw that Jason had snuck out and replaced our Air Force flag with this one in honor of my Mom! Oh that man makes my heart smile!

That same day Caroline and I went out to play. Future stripper you might be thinking since she gravitated to the Stop sign pole in our yard???

Nope!!! Future ANGEL making wishes blowing dandelion seeds that early fall day, silly! GOTCHA! xo

I was Blog Boo-ed!

My little HUMP-BACK!

Caroline got into the laundry room and had fun playing 'dress up' with things on the drying rack while Mommy was busy in the kitchen ... Need I say more?!? I think the photos take care of that for me!

Girl time for Mommy, Ms B, Prissy and 1 boy...Eddie!

Eddie was outnumbered in my house yesterday! Belinda and Miss Priss' boyfriend, Eddie, stopped by to play after his big sis went to preschool. What came out of the girly plus 1 boy time you ask?!? The kids had some fun tent playing time, toy time, snack time... and Belinda and I both have cute black toenails with rhinestones for Halloween now! :)

p.s. The photo on the left side... I just had to show what Caroline has been up to. She is a DIVA! Yes, you read that right... 16 months old and it has begun! When I grab the camera during the day, she immediately sits down in THIS pose and smiles. She gives me about 3 seconds to snap a picture, then rushes me to 'see' the photo on the digital screen. Crazy baby of mine! But my oh my is she FUN and SPUNKY and keeping me on my toes!

The previous post about my fun but smutty read??? Well, Bryce has put me to SHAME folks! His school librarian knows how much he LOVES to read and get AR points. So, she recommended this big, thick, long 16 point book for him to read. My boy is reading longer books than me! Probably a higher reading level, too, if the truth be told! And, it was so good he fell asleep reading it last night! ;)

He has enjoyed some good books this year that I loved at his age~ The Wind In The Willows, Mrs. Frisby & The Rats of NIMH, and a few other award winners. If you think of any really ROCKIN' books, leave me a comment so I can hook my little book worm up!

P.S. I know I am MEGA behind at visiting my friend's blogs! I will come by your neck of Blogspot... I really will... I haven't forgotten about you! Life has just gotten in the way a tad recently. Forgive me please....

Busted With Smut...

Betcha you thought I was referring to Jason or maybe even Bryce at a friend's house finding something they shouldn't have .... WRONG-O! It's ME girls! I was "tagged" by Carrie over at 'Carrie's Little World' last week. The instructions were to:

My childhood girlfriend, Tania, read this book... 'Bunny Tales. Behind Closed Doors at the Playboy Mansion' , by Izabella St. James. She sent it to me because she knew I watched the show 'Girls Next Door' and crack up at their antics. Boy was it an interesting read! It's sitting here by my computer because I need to mail it to her to pass on to someone else! But, now Jason sees it and thinks it'd be a good read when he goes away for six month in February! So yes ladies, I have been busted with Smut! ;)

Last weekend's Soccer Tourny

These are a few pictures from Bryce's soccer tourny last weekend. The boys played really well as a team together and are truly finding their groove on the field. Bryce is LOVING the sport and is really enjoying playing. We have another tournament this weekend! Caroline LOVES her big brother! She found Bryce's soccer team jacket in the house and wrapped herself up in it...all smiles copying her brother! And, watching the game perched on a soccer ball? Could there be a better seat in the house for her?!?

Our Own Plumber!

I'm sure by now you have all seen 'Joe the Plumber' on CNN or HNN in regards to his ?'s to Obama during the tour of his neighborhood.... Check out the 'plumbers crack' Miss Priss would be sporting had her diaper not been riding up so high!

And what did she find so interesting you are wondering? An ant in our breakfast room! Yes, an ant. I f you click to blow up the photo below you can even see it scurrying away from her on the tile to the left of her knee. Ewww! That was right before I took care of it for her!

I think Jason need to re-bomb our crawl space and make sure all spots are sealed up before he leaves for any more TDY's! I do not like dealing with any sorts of things that creep or crawl! But, apparently Caroline has no such issues so I can just call her in to help me if the need arises!!! xo

Caroline's Dandelion Dreams...

Yes, it's official~ I'm a klutz!

So, today at Bryce's soccer tourny I was walking across a huge field~ as big as a football field at that~ and I ,of course, stepped right in a big hole! I went down in a flash, tried to stand up and walk and collapsed again. Two fab Moms on the team heard me hollering their names (Jas was a long ways away with Miss Priss, who felt the need to traipse all over the place...freedom for her!). They came over to access the situation. Another Mom came over and her sweet hubby brought me ice. A worried Dad stopped over. Julie nabbed Jas who got the car and drove it over to pick me up. A very LONG trip to the urgicare center revealed no breaks or fractures but it's so swollen he couldn't tell for sure what was going on with the ligaments. I am in an air splint, ace bandage, crutches and can't put weight on it. Oh yea, we have a two story house. Ay yay yay! Leave it to me to pull a stunt like this! I told Bryce I couldn't let his thumb sprain the other week win, I had to one up him ;) I'll have Jason carry up the camera tomorrow so I can try to do some fun photo posts! Happy holiday tomorrow everyone! Fingers crossed that this passes quickly and a follow up on Tuesday reveals nothing major. XO

Who me? "Kreative"? My oh my!

Miss Sandy Toes over at 'A Shell In Your Pocket' surprised me BIG TIME with this award early on in the week. What a fun and very neat-o way to start my week off, right?!? Holy molly! Thank you so much girly! You are just way, way too kind to me!

The rules of the "Kreative" award are to~ jot down 6 interesting facts (not sure I'm interesting, but I shall give it a go!) about me and to pass this award to 6 bloggers. Buckle up, Here we go!

1. I have to wipe down my bathrooms every morning before I go anywhere. I just feel all undone if it's not done. Does that make any sense to anyone at all?!? My hubby thinks I'm bonkers. Please tell me I'm not alone doing this!

2. I grew up in England. I moved there when I was 5 and stayed there through graduating high school (other than 1 1/2 years my Dad was reassigned to Georgia). So, my fav chocolates and foods are British for the most part! Yummy!

3. Speaking of foods; I can eat an entire 4 pack of Cadburys Creme Eggs in one sitting. Yes, I'm truly addicted to them!

4. My hair color is natural. I highlighted it one time and my mother freaked out and paid the salon to take me back to my natural color years ago.

5. Jason and I were married twice. Once in the courthouse and once in the church. So, I get 2 anniversaries...lucky me!

6. My nickname growing up was 'Miss Priss'. I have passed the torch to Caroline, my 'Miss Priss' ;)

Funky Fall Fun!

I love our new fall blog, Jaimee! You did it AGAIN! Wow! Thanks for some funky fall fun girl!!!

Now, here's something fun and fallish... My Mom made the best praline topping for homemade apple pies! When she had to make a desert in a jiffy, this is a great cheater thing to do... ;)

Praline Apple Pie

1 Mrs. Smith Deep Dish Apple Pie, frozen (see, this is the cheater part of it!)
1/4 cup butter
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup whipping cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted (optional, of course!)

Remove plastic from frozen pie, cut slits in top, place on aluminum foil lined baking sheet and bake at 375 for 1 hour. Shield with aluminum foil for the next 20-30 mins of bake time to total the time at: 1 hour 20 ish minutes.
Cool for 1 hour.
Bring butter, brown sugar and whipping cream to a boil in a 2 qt saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in vanilla and powdered sugar until it's smooth (this might take you a bit!).
Pour praline mixture slowly over pie, spreading to cover.
Top with pecans if you'd like.
